Sarah Statham qualified from Swansea University in 2016 with an integrated Master’s degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost), after studying full time for four years. Whilst at university she completed over 1000 hours of clinical training, during which she developed a particular interest in obstetrics and completed her dissertation investigating the benefits of osteopathic treatment for childbirth.

After leaving university Sarah worked as an associate osteopath at clinics in Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands, where she saw a varied list of patients, before opening Three Shires Osteopathic Practice. During her time as an associate she completed a 2 year Master’s degree programme (MSc) in Animal Manipulation (Osteopathy). Sarah continues to undertake regular continuing professional development (CPD) training, so she is up to date and well equipped to help you with your aches and pains.

Sarah has experience of working in multiple settings including both NHS and private practice.  She uses a variety of techniques aimed at reducing pain and improving both mobility and strength. A typical treatment will include techniques such as soft tissue treatments, joint mobilisation and manipulation. In addition to hands on treatment, Sarah will often offer advice about posture and lifestyle, as well as prescribing exercises for you to complete at home to help you get back to your best as soon as possible.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys yoga and spending time in the countryside, especially looking after her flock of pedigree sheep!
